Lied Children's Museum

Last month, we visited the Lied Children's Museum with our friends from MOPS. There are a lot of fun things for the kids to do there. Their favorites at this visit was the "Green Village" that is like a mini-city, it includes a grocery store and a car care center, and the traveling Clifford exhibit. I am excited because I saw on their website they are getting the Grossology (The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body) exhibit in June. I remember seeing that at OMSI when I was a kid and loved it! Below are some pictures from the museum.

Our growing family...

At 11:30 on March 25th, we were able to bring Baby E home to meet the siblings! This was such a precious time for all of us. They all adore their sister and loved having a chance to snuggle her. Enjoy the pics!

Disney's Armed Forces Salute

We have been enjoying this nice, quiet three day weekend. We really had nothing planned, so yesterday, the girls and I went to the mall. While I used to frequent the mall quite often before I had kids, I rarely go there now. But the girls are well behaved enough now that we can go there and it is actually enjoyable. We mostly just looked around in the kids clothes stores. I was hoping to find some good deals on clothes for them... but didn't have much luck. We did, however, find the Disney store. They were pretty much in heaven walking in there. I let them each pick out a special cup (they were on sale for 2.99) and they were so excited! I snapped a few pictures of them outside with their cups. The weather here has been wonderful. It feels like late spring in Washington. High 60's, t-shirt weather. Mr. J even wore shorts today!

For my military friends: mentioning the Disney store reminded me of an email I got at work the other day. Disney is offering some great military deals! An active duty member gets a FREE five day ticket and can buy up to 5 5-day tickets for family/friends for only $99 a piece. If you click here, you can read all the details. We benefited from the military deals offered by Seaworld last year for military members, which was great. Their deal is free admission for the military members and up to 3 dependents one time a year. Click here to check that one out.

Enjoy the pics!
Sisters are so much fun! They call each other their "best friends forever."
Here is Miss O in some cute tights. I love fun, colorful tights and so do the girls. They try to wear them daily during the "cool weather" season!
Mr. T and his dump truck. Mr. J bought this a couple years back for the girls.-. in hopes that they would some day have a brother who would use it. He got his wish and Mr. T plays with that truck all the time. He pushes it to the playground every day to fill with bark dust and rocks.

Dress Up

Thursday Morning the kids decided they wanted to play dress up. We spent a couple hours putting on lots of different outfits and dancing. Here are some pictures of all the fun.
Miss O.... complete with a bruised forehead. She learned the hard way why twirling around with your eyes closed is NOT a good idea.

The girls are wearing the tap dance recital outfits my sister and I wore to perform "Popeye the Sailor Man." Unfortunately, my sister had the chicken pox on the day of the show and wasn't able to tap. I still remember the routine... "shuffle ball change, shuffle ball change, scoot, clap, scoot, clap." Wearing the tutu my stepsister gave them

Welcome to everyone who linked to my blog from the email I sent out! My sister and I started blogging last month because we were fans of my cousin and friends blog. Also, although I love to scrapbook I have found that I lack much time to do it these days (hmm, I wonder why...) so, I thought this would be a good way to to journal my thoughts so some day I can put them in a book for the kids. And, it's nice to be able to share pics of the kids because they grow up so fast. I hope you enjoy it and please feel free to leave me some comments!!

A golden birthday

Happy Birthday Mr. J!! Today he turned 29. I am so thankful to be the wife of this awesome guy. He is an incredible, godly husband who takes great care of the kids and I. He is a wonderful friend who I can share anything with. He is the hardest worker I have ever met. He is a man of his word. He is an awesome daddy to our 3 kids. He is so loving and patient with them. I continue to fall more in love with him every day. I love you babe!!

We were planning on having a party for him and having some friends over, but canceled because Miss M was still sick. He still had a fun day though. We went to Winchells for doughnuts this morning, then to church (which was extra fun cause he had the two girls sitting with us instead of in their classes) and then came home to make homemade guacomole. We put a candle in the guac for him to blow out. For his birthday, Mr. J wanted to add to his pet collection some spiders... black widow spiders. Last year, Chris found one in our back yard and kept it for a few weeks (at his office of course, not here). A couple days ago he found a web forming and wanted to capture it to have as a pet at work, so we went to Target and got him some cool glass containers. Last night him and Tom went on a spider hunt and found about 20 spiders! He kept a few of them and then they sprayed down the rest. Oh the fun of life with a survival specialist...

Speaking of birthdays, since Aunt S and Uncle T will be leaving the country soon to head to Germany, Aunt S sent a box of all the kids' birthday presents. Below are a couple of the pics of the kids opening their presents. I thought you guys might like to see how big they are getting! Miss O loved her anklet and showed it off proudly.

Miss M Update: Well, her fever continued through Friday. I took her into the Dr. and he thought she may have strep throat because her tonsils her red and swollen. So he started her on antibiotics after a strep test was done. He conjuctivitis (pink eye) is all better. The fever was finally gone this morning. Praise God! It is no fun having sick kids. We are thankful she is on the road to recovery. However, now it's Mr. T's turn to be cranky. His top L tooth has almost burst thru his gums. Poor little dude is kind of miserable. We'll let you know when it makes its grand entrance.
